Marposs, a world leader in precision measurement and process control solutions, has announced the launch of a new non-contact measurement system for monitoring electrode roll production.
The system, which is based on Marposs' proprietary E53 technology, uses two laser beams to measure the thickness of the electrode roll with a high degree of accuracy. The system is also capable of measuring the width and diameter of the roll, as well as the profile of the roll.
This information is then used to calculate the roll's profile deviation, which is an important quality parameter in the production of electrode rolls.
The E53 system is said to be "ideal" for use in the production of electrode rolls, as it is non-destructive and non-contact, and can be used on rolls of any size or shape.
Marposs says that the system can be used to monitor the production of electrode rolls in real-time, and that it can also be used to perform quality control on finished products.
