The Workhorse W-15 is a plug-in hybrid electric pickup truck that features a range of up to 80 miles on battery power alone. That might not seem like much, but for USPS vehicles that only travel an average of 20 miles per day, it's more than enough.

What's more, the W-15 can be fitted with a range of different bodies to suit different needs, including a van body for package delivery, a utility body for general maintenance, and even a dump body for snow removal.

The USPS is currently in the process of testing prototypes of the W-15, and if all goes well, we could see these trucks hitting the streets as early as 2020.
