The city of Pasadena, CA has a new Marengo Charging Plaza that has 24 Tesla Superchargers and 20 Tritium 50 kW Fast Chargers. The goal is to have a place for electric vehicles to charge while shopping or dining in the area.

The Marengo Charging Plaza is located at 451 E. Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA. It is adjacent to the Paseo Colorado outdoor shopping mall. The plaza has both Level 2 and Level 3 chargers. The Level 3 chargers are the Tesla Superchargers, which can charge a Tesla vehicle in about 30 minutes. The Level 2 chargers are the Tritium 50 kW Fast Chargers, which can charge any electric vehicle in about 2-3 hours.

The Pasadena Marengo Charging Plaza is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Parking is free for electric vehicles. The plaza also has EVgo and Blink charging stations for electric vehicles that are not Teslas.

Pasadena is committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions 80% by 2050. This goal cannot be accomplished without a dramatic increase in the number of electric vehicles on the road.
