Mercedes Benz will begin production of the Eeconic, an electric truck designed for specialty municipal applications. The Eeconic will be produced in Europe and North America.

The Eeconic will have a range of up to 100 miles on a single charge and will be capable of reaching speeds of up to 50 mph. It will be available in two wheelbase options and will be able to accommodate a variety of body styles.

Production of the Eeconic is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2020.
