Ahmedabad, India – January 14, 2024 – The 33rd International Kite Festival, a mesmerizing event that graces the skies with vibrant hues, is currently captivating audiences in India. Organized annually by Gujarat Tourism, this year's extravaganza has become a breathtaking showcase of kite-flying talent from across the globe.

The inauguration ceremony, led by Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel on January 7, 2024, marked the commencement of a week-long celebration. Chief Minister Patel, expressing his enthusiasm, attributed the nation's economic growth to the groundbreaking philosophy and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He emphasized that, "under the visionary leadership" of Prime Minister Modi, the kite of the country's progress is soaring high.

Adding to the festive spirit, State Tourism Minister Shri Mulabhai Bera was also present during the inauguration ceremony. Chief Minister Patel actively participated in kite flying, setting the tone for an engaging and joyful festival.

This year's festival boasts an impressive lineup of participants, with 153 international kite flyers from 55 nations, including Argentina, Japan, the US, Australia, Germany, among others. Additionally, 68 national kite flyers from 12 Indian states and 865 local kite flyers from 23 Gujarat cities contribute to the vibrant atmosphere.
