Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has taken a firm stance on the recent Nagpur violence, vowing that those responsible for attacking police personnel will face strict action. Addressing the media, Fadnavis condemned the violent incident, assuring that law and order will not be compromised under his administration.
The incident, which saw clashes erupt in Nagpur, led to injuries among several police officers who were deployed to control the situation. Fadnavis, who also holds the Home portfolio, expressed deep concern over the targeting of law enforcement officials, calling it an attack on the very system that ensures public safety.
He reaffirmed that the Maharashtra government will take swift and decisive action against the perpetrators. "Those who raise their hands against the police will not be spared. We will not tolerate any lawlessness in the state," he stated. Fadnavis also mentioned that stringent legal measures would be taken to prevent such incidents in the future.
The Deputy CM highlighted that additional security measures are being implemented in Nagpur to restore peace and prevent further violence. The police have been directed to identify and arrest all individuals involved in the attack, ensuring that justice is served.
In response to concerns over rising tensions, Fadnavis called for community cooperation and urged citizens to maintain peace while allowing law enforcement agencies to carry out their duties. He also assured that the government will stand firmly behind the police force, providing them with all necessary resources and protection.
As investigations continue, authorities are determined to bring the culprits to justice swiftly. With Fadnavis' strong message, it is clear that Maharashtra’s administration is taking a zero-tolerance approach toward violence against police personnel, reinforcing the commitment to law, order, and public safety.
