Tesla Motors has opened its first East Coast Supercharger stations, meaning that the Tesla Model S is now able to travel the entire East Coast.
The East Coast Supercharger stations are located in Milford, CT; Newark, DE; Washington, DC; Md.;and Brunswick, Maine. The stations allow Tesla Model S owners to travel for free between Boston and Miami.
Previously, the only way to travel long distances in a Tesla Model S was to use the company's "Supercharger network," which is a system of high-speed charging stations that are located along major highways.
The new East Coast Supercharger stations will allow Tesla owners to charge their cars in about 30 minutes, making it possible to travel long distances without having to stop for a long period of time.
The Supercharger network is just one of the many benefits that Tesla Model S owners enjoy. Other benefits include free unlimited access to the Tesla Roadside Assistance program, which provides 24/7 support for flat tires, battery charging, and towing; and free lifetime access to the Tesla Supercharger network.
