New Dc Dc Converter Features Gan Systems Power Transistor-
With the ever-increasing demand for miniaturization and power efficiency in electronic devices, DC-DC converters are constantly being pushed to new levels of performance. The latest converter to emerge from this trend is the new DC-DC converter from Gan Systems, which features a power transistor that is smaller and more efficient than ever before.
The Gan Systems power transistor is based on gallium nitride (GaN) technology, which enables it to offer extremely high power density while maintaining low ON resistance. This makes it ideal for applications such as server power supplies, where space is at a premium and power efficiency is critical.
In addition to its small size and high efficiency, the Gan Systems power transistor also offers very low gate charge, fast switching speeds, and low output capacitance. This makes it ideal for use in high-speed switching applications such as data converters and power amplifiers.
The new DC-DC converter from Gan Systems is currently available in a 4-pin SOT-23 package, with plans for an 8-pin SOIC package in the works.
