Lizzy Davis, a former Tesla executive, has launched an electric boat manufacturing firm in Florida.

The firm, named Electric Boat Company, will focus on building luxury electric boats for the US market.

Davis has said that the electric boat market is currently underserved, and that there is a huge opportunity to provide a more sustainable and environmentally friendly option for boat owners.

The company has already secured a contract to build a fleet of electric boats for a major US charter company.

Davis is confident that the company will be successful, saying that "the electric boat market is ripe for disruption".
