Efacec, Portugal's largest electricity company, has announced an expansion and upgrade to its line of "smart" chargers. The new chargers will be able to automatically adapt to different voltages and currents, making them more compatible with a wider range of devices.
The updated line of chargers will also include a "smart" feature that can automatically shut off the power if it detects that the device is fully charged. This will help prevent overcharging and prolong the life of the battery.
Efacec's smart chargers are already being used by major companies such as Samsung, LG, and Motorola. The expansion of the line is a response to increasing demand from both customers and manufacturers.
"This is a strategic investment for Efacec, which will allow us to consolidate our position as a leading provider of smart charging solutions," said Efacec CEO Ricardo Welch.
The new chargers are expected to be available in the first quarter of 2020.
