Daimlerbyd has officially introduced the all-new Denza 400 kilometer EV for China. The new model features a more powerful electric motor and a larger battery pack for a significantly longer driving range. It also comes with a number of other improvements, including a more luxurious interior and a faster charging time.

The original Denza was launched in 2014 as a joint venture between Daimler and BYD. It was the first premium all-electric vehicle developed specifically for the Chinese market. The new Denza 400 kilometer EV builds on that foundation, offering even more range, luxury, and performance.

The biggest change is the move to a larger battery pack. The new battery pack has a capacity of 60 kWh, up from 41 kWh in the original Denza. This gives the Denza 400 kilometer EV a driving range of up to 400 kilometers (250 miles) on a single charge, according to the NEDC cycle. That’s a significant increase over the original Denza, which had a driving range of just 200 kilometers (124 miles).

The new Denza also features a more powerful electric motor. It produces 120 kW (161 hp) and 315 Nm (232 lb-ft) of torque, up from 80 kW (107 hp) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) in the original Denza. This gives the Denza 400 kilometer EV a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) time of 8.9 seconds, making it one of the quickest all-electric vehicles in its class.

In addition to the increased range and power, the Denza 400 kilometer EV also features a number of improvements over the original Denza. These include a revised interior with more premium materials and a host of new standard features, such as massaging front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a wireless charging pad.

The Denza 400 kilometer EV also features a faster charging time. When connected to a 50 kW fast charger, the Denza 400 kilometer EV can be charged from 20-80% in just 45 minutes. That’s nearly half the time it takes to charge the original Denza.

The Denza 400 kilometer EV is currently available to order in China, with prices starting at RMB 339,000 (approx. $50,000 USD). That’s a significant premium over the original Denza, which had a starting price of RMB 250,000 (approx. $36,000 USD).
