Brightloop has announced that it is now offering Epcos AG's high-speed, high-voltage gallium nitride (GaN) transistors for electric vehicle (EV) applications. The company says that the move will enable it to provide a "complete solution" for sustainable mobility.
Epcos AG's GaN transistors offer a number of benefits for EV applications, including high power density, high efficiency, and low electromagnetic interference (EMI). Brightloop says that by leveraging these devices, it can provide a more efficient and cost-effective solution for EV powertrains.
In addition to its use in EV powertrains, Brightloop says that Epcos AG's GaN transistors can also be used in charging infrastructure, solar inverters, and other applications. The company is currently working with a number of customers on these and other projects.
