Abb E Mobility has announced the opening of its largest DC fast charger production facility in Europe, located in the north of Italy. The new factory will have an annual production capacity of 8,000 units, making it the world's largest production facility for DC fast chargers.

The new facility will allow Abb E Mobility to meet the growing demand for its chargers, which are already being used by major EV manufacturers such as BMW, Jaguar Land Rover, Audi and Porsche.

In addition to production, the new facility will also be used for research and development of new charging technologies. This will include the development of ultra-fast chargers capable of charging an EV in just 15 minutes.

The new facility is part of Abb's commitment to the electrification of transport and the company's goal to install 1 million EV charging points by 2025.
