Overview

The Polestar 2 is an all-new BEV performance fastback. It is the first BEV from the Volvo Cars Group and is based on the VolvoModular Electric Architecture (MEA). The MEA is also used for the Volvo XC40 Recharge, making it the first BEV SUV from the Volvo Cars Group. The car has two electric motors, one at the front and one at the rear, that deliver a combined 402 hp (298 kW) and 487 lb.-ft. (660 Nm) of torque. The battery has a capacity of 78 kWh and offers a range of 275 miles (443 km) according to the WLTP test cycle. 

The Polestar 2 is equipped with an active safety suite that includes features such as automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and a driver-attention monitor. The car also has a Pilot Assist semi-autonomous driver-assistance system that can help the driver with steering, acceleration, and braking on highways.
