— Nex News Network Business Desk

Rajasthan is all set to make a remarkable entry into India’s electric mobility map as PMI Electro Mobility, one of the country’s fastest-growing electric bus manufacturers, has announced an investment of ₹1,200 crore to establish the state’s first e-bus manufacturing plant in Alwar district.

The proposed facility will be a state-of-the-art green mobility hub, focused on producing advanced electric buses, setting up charging infrastructure, and battery assembly units — aligning with India’s ambitious Make in India and Net Zero Emission 2070 goals.

According to company sources, the upcoming plant will not only strengthen India’s EV ecosystem but also generate over 3,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities, benefiting local industries and skilled youth across Rajasthan.

A senior official from PMI Electro Mobility stated, “This project reflects our long-term vision to accelerate India’s transition towards sustainable public transport. Rajasthan’s strategic location and investor-friendly policies make it an ideal destination for our expansion.”

The Rajasthan government has welcomed this investment, calling it a major milestone for the state’s industrial growth and a big step towards green transportation infrastructure. Once operational, the Alwar facility will cater to both domestic and international markets, positioning Rajasthan as a key hub for electric vehicle manufacturing in northern India.

The plant is expected to be completed within the next 18–24 months, marking a new chapter in Rajasthan’s industrial and environmental progress.
