Ford Ceo Talks Candidly About Fords Problems With Its Mustang Mach E And F 150 Lightning

On the Mustang Mach E:

"Clearly, we had a hiccup with the Mustang Mach-E," Hackett said. "It was a great idea, but the world has changed so much in how people want to receive their transportation, and we were a little late to that party."

On the F-150 Lightning:

"The Lightning is an incredible truck," Hackett said. "But it was late, too. We should have been sooner with an electric truck. That's just the way it is."

On Ford's future:

"What this says about Ford is that we're not afraid to change," Hackett said. "We're not resting on our laurels. We're going to make mistakes along the way, but we're going to learn from them."
