The EPA's fuel economy label for the Fusion Energi awards the car with a 97 MPG equivalency rating for electric-only operation and 44 MPG combined when running on gas power. When operating in electric-only mode, the Fusion Energi has a range of 21 miles, while the total range when using both gas and electric is 620 miles.
The Fusion Energi's ratings make it the most fuel-efficient five-passenger car in America, beating the Toyota Prius Plug-in by 7 MPGe combined, and surpassing the Chevrolet Volt's combined rating by 11.
