Brightdrop will supply DHL Express Canada with a fleet of Zevo 600 electric delivery vans. The vans will be used for last-mile package delivery in the Toronto and Vancouver areas, with deployment set to begin in early 2020.

The Zevo 600 is a purpose-built electric delivery van that features a 600kg payload capacity and a range of up to 200km. The van is equipped with a Level 2 AC charger and can be fully charged in 4 hours.

DHL Express Canada President Gregg Sutch said: "We are excited to be working with Brightdrop on this initiative as we continue our commitment to reducing our environmental impact. The deployment of these electric vehicles will help us to further lower our emissions, while also providing a quieter and more comfortable experience for our customers."

Brightdrop CEO Mattuts Israelson added: "The Brightdrop Zevo 600 is designed specifically for last-mile package delivery, and we are thrilled to be working with DHL Express Canada to deploy our EVs in the Toronto and Vancouver areas. We believe that the electrification of last-mile delivery is a critical step in achieving a cleaner, quieter and more efficient transportation system, and we are excited to be a part of that transition."
