In the center of Ayodhya, the majestic Ram Temple is getting ready, with the sacred idol of Lord Ramlala taking the spotlight. Champat Rai, the Secretary-General of the Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra Trust, has shared important details about placing the divine infant form of Lord Rama in the temple.

Champat Rai revealed that the beautiful idol of Lord Ramlala, set to be placed in the Ram Temple, is made to look like a five-year-old child. This captivating sculpture, standing at 51 inches, is carved from black stone, creating an enchanting visual appeal. The careful work of three sculptors has resulted in unique idols, all of which will be respected with utmost reverence.

Ceremonial Unveiling and Worship

Rai clarified that the idol in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Temple will be adorned in a divine shade of Shyamal (dark blue). The unveiling ceremony is set for January 16th, marking the start of the idol's worship. Reflecting the deep cultural ties between Nepal and India, Rai expressed gratitude for the auspicious arrival of the idol from Janakpur Dham, Nepal, initiating the 'Bharat Yatra.'

Nepal-India Bond: A Journey Through Ages

Highlighting the lasting ties between Nepal and India, Rai spoke about the historical connections that go back to the Treta Yuga. The Bharat Yatra, arriving in Ayodhya at 4 AM, is celebrated as a symbolic gift for Lord Rama, strengthening the age-old bond between the two nations.

Majestic Temple Complex

Recent developments showcase the installation of statues depicting elephants, lions, Lord Hanuman, and Garuda at the main entrance of the Ram Temple. These intricately crafted sculptures, carved from sandstone obtained from the Bansi Pahadpur region in Rajasthan, add a majestic touch to the grandeur of the temple.

The grand Ram Temple, built in the traditional Naagar Shaili, stands as an architectural marvel in Ayodhya. With dimensions of 380 feet in length (east-west direction), 250 feet in width, and 161 feet in height, the temple complex is a testament to cultural richness. Each pinnacle of the temple rises 20 feet, featuring a total of 392 pillars and 44 doors.

Unique Temple Design

Champat Rai emphasized that the entrance and exit of the temple will be from the east and south directions respectively. The overall architectural layout ensures a three-story structure, enhancing the temple's divine aura. Rai's commitment to the meticulous detailing of the temple's design underscores the sanctity and significance of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
