Lamborghini, the maker of high-performance sports cars, is collaborating with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on an electric supercar concept.
The two organizations will work together on the design and development of a new electric vehicle platform that will be used to create a new class of Lamborghini supercars.
The collaboration will focus on the development of new technologies that will enable Lamborghini to create more electrically-powered vehicles.
Lamborghini is already working on an all-electric supercar, the Asterion, which was unveiled at the 2014 Paris Auto Show.
The Asterion is a hybrid vehicle that uses three electric motors and a petrol engine to achieve a top speed of 310 km/h (193 mph).
The collaboration with MIT will help Lamborghini to further develop its electric vehicle technology and create even more powerful and efficient supercars.
