Anheuser Busch, one of the world’s largest brewers, has ordered 800 Nikola trucks as the company looks to clean up its act.
The trucks, which will be delivered over the next two years, will run on Nikola’s hydrogen-electric fuel cell technology.
It’s a big vote of confidence in Nikola, which is working to bring its hydrogen-electric trucks to market.
The trucks will be used to haul Anheuser Busch’s beer across the country.
The partnership is the latest example of a major corporation placing a bet on Nikola’s technology.
Earlier this year, UPS ordered 125 Nikola trucks.
Nikola has also received orders from beer distributor Anheuser-Busch InBev and grocery store chain Aldi.
The company has said it plans to begin production of its trucks in 2020.
